Compress PDF to 50KB

Get a PDF under 50 KB for an upload form or email. The limit is already set, text stays selectable when possible, and your file never leaves your device.

Your files stay on your device. This tool processes your file directly in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Compression

How it works

  1. Drop your PDF here, or click to choose it.
  2. Fit under a file size is already selected, with the limit set to 50 KB. Change it if your form asks for something different.
  3. Click Compress PDF. The tool first tries to shrink the file without changing it; if that is not enough, it saves the pages as images at the best quality that fits.
  4. Download your PDF and open it once to check the text is clear before you upload it.

Frequently asked questions

Can a scanned page really fit in 50 KB?

Usually one page can, if it is cropped to the paper and photographed in good light. Shadows and background clutter use up the space, so a clean, flat photo of the page makes the biggest difference.

My PDF has several pages. What can I do?

Upload only the pages the form needs: keep just those with Extract PDF Pages, then compress the smaller file here. Every page you remove frees space for the others.

Will the text still be selectable?

Only if the PDF fits after lossless optimisation, which the tool tries first. Scans become images, so their text cannot be selected, but forms that ask for a scan do not need that.

Is my PDF uploaded when I compress it to 50 KB?

No. Your PDF is compressed inside your browser and never sent anywhere, which matters for documents such as certificates and ID proofs.

What fits in a 50 KB PDF

50 KB is a very tight limit for a PDF, usually set for a single document such as a signature sheet, ID page or certificate on an application form. A PDF made from Word or Google Docs often fits as it is; a phone scan has to become a low-resolution image to fit.

As a rough guide from our tests with phone photos of documents, expect room for about one scanned page, at a resolution where normal-size text is just readable. Clean scanner output fits more, and PDFs made from Word or Google Docs are often small enough already.
