Frequently asked questions
Can I change the order of the extracted pages?
Yes — type the pages in the order you want, for example "5, 1, 2". Pages clicked in the thumbnails are kept in page-number order.
Is the original PDF changed?
No. The tool creates a new PDF containing only your selected pages and leaves your original file untouched.
Why are thumbnails slow for very long PDFs?
Thumbnails are drawn on your device as you scroll. For documents with hundreds of pages, typing page ranges is quicker than clicking.
Does extracting keep text searchable?
Yes. Pages are copied as-is, so text remains selectable and searchable in the new file.
Keep only the pages you need
Sometimes you only need a few pages from a long report, contract or manual. The page extractor shows a thumbnail of every page so you can click the ones you want, then saves them as a brand-new PDF.
Selecting pages
Click thumbnails to toggle them, use Select all and then deselect the pages you don't need, or type page numbers and ranges such as 2, 5-8, 12. The thumbnails and the text box always stay in sync.
